An Announcement from the Board Chair
With gratitude and admiration, I announce the upcoming retirement of Julie Manworren, who will step down from her role as President & CEO of Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin on June 30, 2025.
From the moment Julie joined us five years ago, she made her intentions clear: this role would serve as the capstone of her extraordinary 30+ year career serving the community. True to her word, Julie has poured her heart and expertise into leading Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin with vision, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to our mission of building hope, resilience, and well-being through the integration of health, housing, and human services.
Reflecting on her time here, Julie shared:
“Serving Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin has been one of the greatest honors of my career. This organization’s mission, its people, and the communities we serve inspire me every day. While I look forward to the next chapter in my life, I will always carry with me a deep sense of pride and gratitude for what we have accomplished together.”
Julie’s authentic and people-centered leadership has left a lasting legacy. Her unwavering resolve to foster a more compassionate, equitable future has positioned our organization for continued success. She has been a guiding light, inspiring us to lead with purpose and courage while leading us on a path of resilience and meaningful impact.
The Board of Directors is committed to ensuring a smooth and thoughtful leadership transition. We soon will launch a national search for our next President & CEO, and I will keep you informed throughout this important process. For the next six months, Julie will continue to lead with her hallmark perseverance, ensuring stability and momentum as we move forward.
In the months ahead, we will celebrate Julie’s extraordinary career and her impactful contributions to Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin. Details on opportunities to honor and thank Julie will be shared soon.
