MSW Clinical Internship
Location: Multiple New Hope Clinic, various school sites within Metro Area, Telehealth
Type of Work: Clinical mental health therapy services
Time Commitment: Academic School Year
Students work 18-20 hours/week on average based on their specific school hours requirements with 1 hour of individual clinical supervision included. Hours are flexible and set based on student and agency needs. Must be available to attend clinical consultation meetings on Thursdays from 9-10am.
Multiple learning opportunities for students include completing diagnostic assessments, providing individual, family, and group therapy using a variety of different therapeutic approaches, and co-facilitating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills groups.
Vona provides services to diverse populations of children, adolescents, adults, and older adults learning to cope with a variety of mental health difficulties.
Vona has a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) program with DHH therapists providing services to DHH clients and families.
Vona provides school-based therapy services to many schools within the Twin Cities metropolitan area and students may have opportunity to provide these services.
